Minister James E. Tyson, II

James Edison Tyson, II was born August 3, 1991, to the proud parents of Suffragan Bishop C.
Shawn and Evang. Krista M. Tyson. James was affectionately named after his paternal
Grandfather, The Honorable Bishop James E. Tyson.

He received the gift of the Holy Ghost at age eleven and began his preaching ministry at the age
of 13; becoming an example that you are never too young to be used by God.

Minister James has been an exceptional, honor roll student. Carrying on the traditions of both
sides of his family and being instilled that not only must he have salvation, but also education,
Minister James graduated from Pike High School in Indianapolis, IN, in May, 2010. While
attending Pike High School, Minister James was involved in several programs and received:
• Young Men of Purpose Award
• Academic honors award
• Scholarship award from American Society of Military Comptrollers Indiana chapter for outstanding Academic Accomplishment
• National youth leadership conference award
 
 Minister James is furthering his education and is now attending Youngstown State University – studying Finance.

Minister James Tyson is a member of Calvary International Ministries in Youngstown, OH,
where the Pastor is his Father, Suffragan Bishop C. Shawn Tyson. He also continues to assist in
serving the teen department of Christ Church Apostolic, Indianapolis, IN where the founder is
his Grandfather, The Honorable Bishop James Edison Tyson and the Pastor is his
uncle, Bishop James Laverne Tyson. Minister s was recently appointed the Young People’s
President of Calvary International Ministries in Youngstown, OH.

He allows his life to reflect the message he preaches as he strives to win souls for Christ and
remind us all that we are as the scripture states in I Peter 2:9, “a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people.” Minister Tyson has made it his personal mission to
let the masses know that “Jesus is coming soon!”
